June 9, 2010
Dear AHA, BA and Support Your Local Brewery Members,
Thanks to all of the contacts with legislators and the Governor, Oklahoma has passed House Bill 2348 to legalize homebrewing.
On May 10, Governor Brad Henry signed HB 2348 into law. The new law goes into effect ninety days from the end of the 2010 legislative session. On August 26th it will officially be legal to homebrew in Oklahoma.
Thank you to everyone who supported Oklahoma's homebrewers! We particularly thank HB 2348 sponsors Representative Colby Schwartz and Senator Mike Schulz, and all of the Oklahoma legislators who voted for the bill, as well as Governor Brad Henry for signing it. Special thanks go to homebrewer and AHA member Gary Shellman, who initiated this latest attempt to legalize homebrewing in Oklahoma and who has worked tirelessly ever since to see it through.
Sincerely,
|

Congratulations, House Bill 2348 has now been signed into law!
